Golden Era Piano Studio
Marcy teaches a small studio of audition-only students from her home in Brighton.
Young students actively participate in recitals, festivals, and competitions regionally. Her adult students range from dedicated young professionals and college-aged students to adult amateurs and seasoned professional musicians.
Her teaching focuses on reliable technique, skill building, injury prevention and recovery, neuroscience, psychology, and golden era pianistic values like warm singing tone, expressive and architectural phrasing, intentional voicing, and a broad pallet of interpretive colors.
Students learn from the canon of great classical literature and are strongly encouraged to learn music from underrepresented composers and composers from their own heritage.
Marceline's studio is a warm and accepting studio for people of all backgrounds.
