Studio Policies
Hello and welcome!
This policy is built to define expectations and ensure that the student has a healthy and reliable piano education. It also outlines the structure and guarantees that the teacher is supported and can offer the highest pedagogy possible.
Expectations
- While it is not required that students have an acoustic instrument, it is important that they seek out opportunities to play on the best instruments possible. Consider finding out if your school, library, community center, or church have acoustic pianos or grand pianos that can be practiced on.
- Students must practice their repertoire and technical exercises 4-6 days a week, and must complete their theory, aural, and other assignments from lesson to lesson. Under usual circumstances, students that fail to practice and complete their assignments may forfeit their spot in the studio.
- Students are expected to perform in studio recitals and must participate in at least one event beyond the studio each year (competitions, festivals, summer camps, chamber ensembles, honor recitals, etc.).
Tuition Structure & Late Fees
Payments are made monthly and are due at the time of the first lesson of the month. If payment is not received on the first lesson, the payment must be made before the second lesson or the student will be sent home and their spot will be forfeited.
For quarterly and monthly lessons, payments must be made before or at the lesson.
